According to reports, a Missouri man named Luke Hamilton was arrested after allegedly stealing a squad car from the Overland Police.
Police said an officer was attempting to contact a suspicious person while on foot, but the person ran away. When the officer looked back to his vehicle, the car was gone. The 25-year-old allegedly took the car when the officer wasn’t looking. When asked how the young man got the car, police said the officer told them he thought he locked the car door. Police ended up finding the car in Bridgeton, Missouri.
Hamilton is facing a gang of charges, including stealing a motor vehicle and a gun. Luke Hamilton is being held at the St. Louis County jail. Reports noted that the 25-year-old’s bond is $50,000 cash-only.
