Netflix is gearing up for the release of their docuseries on the now-deceased sex offender and politically-connected multi-millionaire Jeffrey Epstein. The internal news arm of Netflix, "See What's Next" tweeted on Wednesday, "The series exposes a horrifying story of relentless manipulation and sex trafficking. Epstein’s survivors serve as the series’ pre-eminent voices, providing powerful testimonials about their experiences, and inspiration in their resilience."
The docuseries takes a look at Epstein's lavish lifestyle as a "Gatsby-like figure of mystery," and shifts the focus to Epstein as an internationally known sex offender who had a reputation for trafficking minors. Moreover, the series will explore Epstein's 2008 "sweetheart deal" which let him avoid a potential life sentence; a decision regarded as "one of the worst failures of the criminal justice system."
Jeffrey Epstein: Filthy Rich is scheduled to be released on May 27.
