Previously, news surfaced noting that YNW Melly affiliate YNW Bortlen was granted a $75,000 bond by a judge. Along with that, Bortlen reportedly will be placed on house arrest until the scheduled trial, which is set for July 2, 2020. Now YNW Melly has chimed in with his thoughts on the news of his friend.

Via an Instagram post, YNW Melly said “My brudda bout to jump,  @ynw.bortlen I’ll be home soon πŸ™πŸΎ.” There’s no word on what’s next for Melly, as the rapper was previously denied a request to be released despite contracting the coronavirus while being locked up. Stay tuned for more updates.

Last year, YNW Melly affiliate YNW Bortlen pleaded not guilty to two counts of first-degree murder and two counts of accessory after the fact. Now, Bortlen has allegedly been granted bond by a judge.

According to footage and documents that have surfaced, a judge set a bond for $75,000 and also issued a level 1 house arrest. The description for the bond is in reference to YNW Bortlen’s 1st-degree murder charge. News of this comes after YNW Melly was denied a request to be released despite contracting COVID-19.
