Dave Chappelle dropped a surprise comedy special via YouTube called ‘8:46’ in reference to the amount of time that ex-cop Derek Chauvin had his knee in the neck of unarmed black man and DJ Screw-affiliate George Floyd. During the special, Chappelle addressed topics and people like Don Lemon and Candace Owens, who both have responded.
Chappelle spoke on Owens, saying, “Candace Owen, that rotten b***h, she's the worst. I can't think of a worse way to make money. She's the most articulate idiot I've ever seen in my f***ing life.” Owens recently spoke on the murder of George Floyd, calling him a “horrible person” because he served time in prison and had a criminal record. Along with that, she criticized the black community for making the late Floyd a martyr. Chappelle took another jab at Owens, saying, “I don't give a f** k what this n***** did. I don't care if he personally kicked Candace Owens in her stanky p***y. I don't know if it stanks, but I imagine it does. If I ever find out, I'll let you know for sure.’”
Since then, Owens has responded to Chappelle super direct and scathing criticism, saying, “To every Democrat tweeting me the clip of #DaveChappelle insulting me: I'm not a leftist. I have a sense of humor & I think comedians SHOULD make fun of people. We've arrived too suddenly into a culture where people can't laugh at themselves, or want to restrain comedians. I will never be a part of that culture. Dave Chappelle - you are legend and I'd love to meet you and challenge you to say any of that to my face! All love!”
