Kyrie Irving recently led a call where he talked to 80 NBA players about passing up on coming back to the NBA to focus on helping with combating racial injustice. The call has sparked conversation from many players on if it makes sense to come back and play in the current climate of America. Now, former NBA player Stephen Jackson has chimed in with his thoughts on the matter, saying, “Now ain’t the time.”

Jackson shared his views on the subject via Instagram, saying, “I love the NBA, man. That's my family, but now ain't the time to be playing basketball, y'all. Now ain't the time. Playing basketball is going to do one thing: take all the attention off the task at hand right now and what we're fighting for."

Following the death of George Floyd, it was revealed that Jackson and Floyd were actually close friends, and Jackson has been leading protests for justice in the death of Floyd. Watch above.
