Punch, the head of TDE, revealed on Twitter that Kendrick Lamar won't be releasing any music soon. When a follower told Punch, "Tell Kendrick it’s time for the real to return," Punch replied, "Nah. N***as don’t appreciate it."
This comes after Kendrick has faced scrutiny for not being more vocal amid the civil unrest across the country. Kendrick was seen joining DeMar DeRozan and Russell Westbrook at a peaceful protest in Compton earlier this month, but he has yet to address the current situation publicly. Rapper IDK defended Kendrick, stating, "People coming for Kendrick Lamar like we don’t know he’s a person that does alot but says little. I trust he’s making shit happen behind the scenes."
