Famed YouTuber Shane Dawson came under fire after controversial videos that he posted in the past resurfaced.
One of the videos shows Dawson pretending to pleasure himself to a poster of a then-11-year-old Willow Smith while saying, "Oh, whip your hair back and forth," referencing Willow's 2010 song "Whip My Hair."
Both Jada and Jaden Smith called out Dawson on Twitter. Jada wrote, "To Shane Dawson ... I’m done with the excuses," and Jaden followed by writing, "SHANE DAWSON I AM DISGUSTED BY YOU. YOU SEXUALIZING AN 11 YEAR OLD GIRL WHO HAPPENS TO BE MY SISTER!!!!!! IS THE FURTHEST THING FROM FUNNY AND NOT OKAY IN THE SLIGHTEST BIT."
Jaden then called out Dawson for videos of him wearing blackface, writing, "This Man Was Also Doing Black Face On The Regular As The Youth We Need To Support Creators Who Support Us And Our Morals. This Is Not Okay."
Another video surfaced of Dawson saying that Trayvon Martin wouldn't have been "walking around the streets if he had a job." Dawson released an apology video following the backlash, where he stated, "I’ve done a lot of things in my past that I hate, that I wish I could make go away. I don’t know who that person is anymore." A reported 600,000 followers have unsubscribed from Dawson's channel following the backlash.
