Many have been critical of Donald Trump’s time in office as President of the United States, with many even going as far as calling him racist based on his actions. Previously, Trump retweeted a video of his supporters chanting “white power” before deleting it. Along with that, he threatened protesters who vandalized monuments—mostly black people who are marching against racism and social injustice, with 10 years in prison for their act. Despite his gestures, many people—including Turk of the Hot Boyz feel Trump has done more for Black people.

Via Twitter, Turk said “Trump’s administration has done more for [blacks] than Obama’s administration and i’ll challenge anyone to argue that. #BIGTHUGGIN.” Turk didn’t provide any examples to his statement, but was met with much backlash because of that.

Turk isn’t the only artist in hip hop to recently show support for Trump, as rapper Lil Jay of Crime Mob revealed he is a Trump supporter. Lil Jay made a statement via Instagram that mirrored Turk’s thoughts, saying “Yes I really do support Trump yes I do. But it’s my views, you just can’t just wipe it off and say he’s a racist. Look at the speeches, look at his policies, go to the website, and see what he did for black people. Even if you’re not a pro-black or whatever it is, look at the policies. Compare his sh*t to Obama sh*t, when it comes to black people."
