Logic has been making his media rounds since the release of his retirement album, No Pressure. During his recent interview with Rob Markman at Genius, the Maryland MC discussed the making of the album, starting a family and his decision to retire.

Later in the interview, Logic addressed the criticism he's received from Charlamagne Tha God. In his 2019 song, "Clickbait," Logic called out Charlamagne with the line, "I don't do the Breakfast Club 'cause Charlamagne is shameless/That's the only one I leave out when I run my bases."

Logic explained that his issue with The Breakfast Club host stems from a previous appearance he made on the show.

"When he basically kinda called me homophobic without even watching an interview and I was like, ‘I didn’t even say that,’" Logic told Genius. "And then for him to just out his mouth be like, ‘Who raped your sister?’ so callous, that f***** me up and I actually held onto that for six years. And I was like 'this isn’t healthy and I’m talking to my therapist about it.'"

Despite the issue, Logic mentioned that there's no real issue and that he would love to talk to Charlamagne.

Charlamagne responded to Logic's comments on Tuesday's episode of The Breakfast Club. While Charlamagne did acknowledge that he asked Logic about a false headline, he felt the rapper was being disingenuous during the Genius interview.

"Context matters. And not social media context, real actual context," Charlamagne said. "And as you heard in that interview, he mentioned his sister being raped twice, okay? That's why you got to listen to the whole exchange with Logic in full."

Similar to Logic, Charlamagne said the whole thing is due to miscommunication and also downplayed there being any real issue.
