Jaguar Wright recently made serious allegations against Common. During her livestream, she also called out Common's fellow Soulquarians such as The Roots, Erykah Badu, Talib Kweli and more in the wake of Malik B's death.
One of the more serious claims she made was that Black Thought didn't write his own raps. According to Wright, Malik B and Dice Raw ghostwrote for him and were behind some of his greatest work.
Given Black Thought's reputation as one of the greatest MCs, peers like Young Guru have already come to Black Thought's defense.
"Y’all know I don’t get on these internets for nothing," said Young Guru in a since-deleted tweet. "I let a lot of things slide. But what y’all not about to do is question @blackthought’s pen. That’s not about to happen in my lifetime!!!"
Jaguar Wright also said that she's received death threats over the claims she made during her livestream.
Despite the accusations, The Roots frontman is gearing up for the release of his upcoming project, Streams of Thought Vol. 3: Cane & Abel.
