According to reports, the man who identified as Antifa and accused killer of a pro-Trump protester in Portland was killed during his arrest. Michael Forest Reinoehl died in a hail of gunfire on Thursday in his home state of Washington. Apparently, four agents of a U.S. Marshals Service task force opened fire on Reinoehl in the suburb of Olympia.
Authorities noted that the 48-year-old had a semi-automatic weapon on his person at the time and opened fire on police, according to one witness. The witness, Deshirlynn Chatman, said “He did open fire first,” in a video posted by The Olympian. Lt. Ray Brady of the Thurston County Sheriff’s Department. Another video shows Reinoehl lying motionless in the street after the exchange. Brady added that he doesn't believe the officers involved had bodycams or dashboard cameras.
In a statement made after the shooting, U.S. Marshals Service said they “attempted to peacefully arrest him.” The statement continued, “Initial reports indicate the suspect produced a firearm, threatening the lives of law enforcement officers. Taskforce members responded to the threat and struck the suspect who was pronounced dead at the scene.”
