Update 09/05/2020 2:32pm:
Previously, it was revealed that Kanye West and his presidential campaign was accused of deceptive practices in Virginia. Now, a judge has officially removed West from the Virginia ballot after the discovery of 11 elector oaths that were obtained by “improper, fraudulent, and/or misleading leads.”
Just last week, the Virginia Board of Elections noted West had met the requirements needed to get on the ballot for the state. The requirement noted that 5,000 petition signatures were needed, along with 13 electors who pledged support to West’s campaign. Since then, Richmond Circuit Court judge Joi Taylor has invalidated 11 out of the 13 “elector oaths” submitted by West’s campaign, noting they were “obtained by improper, fraudulent, and/or misleading means.”
This comes after a lawsuit was brought up by two Virginia residents who say the signature gatherers for Kanye allegedly deceived them into pledging their service to his campaign.

Previously, it was reported that Kanye West allegedly broke the law by failing to file campaign documents that note what money is being spent. Now, the rapper and his presidential campaign are being accused of deceptive practices in Virginia after two people have made legal complaints.
One of the people who submitted an affidavit to the State Board of Elections—a man named Matthan Wilson, also spoke to the Washington Post and laid out the alleged details. Watson said he was exercising outside one day when he was approached by three people who asked him if he wanted to be an elector in the state of Virginia. Wilson said he was distracted and signed the petition, but learned weeks later, the petition he signed had him being used as an elector to Kanye West.
Wilson went on to say, “I am so embarrassed. I don’t want to be an elector for Kanye West. I don’t want to vote for Kanye West. I only like one or two of his songs.”
