Recently, the 100th night of protests went down in Portland this past Saturday since the death of George Floyd at the hands of police officers. Video footage showed a large number of protesters in the streets gathered together before a Molotov cocktail was thrown in the direction of the protesters.
As a result of the cocktail being thrown, protesters scattered quickly. However, one protester was caught on camera with their leg on fire. As the fire tried to spread rapidly on the protester, many jumped in to put out the fire, including police who were in riot gear not too far from the group of protesters. Police took to Twitter to comment on the march, noting the protest in the Ventura Park area was not authorized, and they went on to say, “this is a riot.” Watch above.
