Previously, Roger Goodell expressed that the NFL was wrong for not listening to NFL players about the injustices being faced by Black people in America. Ultimately, the NFL went on to say they feel Black lives matter and that without Black players, there would be no NFL. The NFL ended up apologizing to Colin Kaepernick for not listening to him sooner. However, this still hasn’t placed Kaepernick back in the league, and now reports are saying there has been “zero interest” in the former 49er.

The interest in Kaepernick by NFL teams was allegedly fake according to sources. Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk spoke on the matter with information from a source, saying, “Per a source with knowledge of the situation, there was some ‘fake’ interest expressed immediately after Floyd’s death, seemingly out of guilt. There has been zero interest expressed as to Kaepernick ‘in months.’” Stay tuned for more updates.
