Tory Lanez dropped a surprise project titled Daystar on Thursday (September 24) night, where he addressed being accused of shooting Megan Thee Stallion, and he also dissed Lakers baller JR Smith.
On the track "Sorry But I Had To...," Tory raps, "J.R. Smith, it's the pot that piss/And you the last cat that should talk about some shots that hit, Cause your performance and percentage, player/Rollin', ridin' benches, n***a, I'm from the trenches, n***a."
Before dropping the project, Tory tweeted, "To all my fans...I'm sorry for my silence...but respectfully..I got time today." JR responded on his Instagram Stories, writing, "I got time today too!! Bout to get real [spicy]."
JR continued to speak on the situation by calling Tory a clown, which he did last month after the Toronto rapper was first accused of shooting Megan Thee Stallion. In August, JR wrote, "This clown shoots a female an [SIC] y'all listening to his music like it's okay. Tf @torylanez you a straight [clown]. ... an [SIC] tell whoever to hit my line it's whatever."
