Recently, a viral video surfaced where a white man punched another man in the face for blasting YG’s song “F**k Donald Trump” while at a gas station. The incident went down at Buc-ee’s in Denton, Texas. Since then, police have identified the man who threw the punch and noted they took Jason Lata into custody.
The 44-year-old was arrested after Denton Police Department detectives got an arrest warrant for assault, causing bodily injury. Chief Frank Dixon previously took to Twitter and gave an update, saying, “He was not on scene when officers arrived on the initial call, and he is not a resident of Denton. We will update when he is in custody. Because this was one of many meet-up locations in the DFW area, it is unknown at this time if the suspect is from Denton or surrounding area.”

The 2020 presidential election is weeks away, and many are on edge as to who will become the new president. Recently, Donald Trump revealed that he has COVID-19, which has had many of his supporters and staff members alarmed. Despite that, many are still expressing their dislike for Trump and getting into fights as a result. A man in Denton, Texas, was recently a victim of his dislike for the current president, as he was punched in the face for blasting “F**k Donald Trump” by YG.
While at a Buc-ee’s in Texas, a few men can be seen with Trump shirts one while one man screams at another man who is holding a flag. The one man screams, “turn it off!” in reference to the YG song, and then immediately sucker punched flag holder, dropping them to the ground.
Since then, police have arrested Jason Lata for assault causing bodily injury on Saturday night. Police in Denton noted that Lata’s bail was set at $15,000.
