Ice Cube continues to be at the center of a controversy regarding his meeting with Donald Trump's campaign team about his plans to help Black Americans. Since the revelation of his meeting with the president's campaign, Cube has been scolded for his lack of political acumen and called a pawn on Trump's electoral chessboard.
Fellow entertainer and Los Angeles native D.L. Hughley recently spoke about Ice Cube on his radio show and expressed what seems to be a popular opinion about the rap legend. Hughley said that Cube wasn't qualified to be in the room with Trump's team as he is someone who lacks the sociological expertise and policy chops necessary to bring about actual reform. Hughley also laid out why he believes Cube "ruined himself at the altar of Trump" like many other black entertainers who've been linked to the president in hopes of bringing about change.
