As votes are still being counted in the presidential election, including in key-swing state Pennsylvania, Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney had a message for Donald Trump.

During a press conference on Friday (November 6), Kenney stated, "“I think what the president needs to do is to, frankly, put his big boy pants on. He needs to acknowledge the fact that he lost and he needs to congratulate the winner, just as Jimmy Carter did, just as George H.W. Bush did, and, frankly, just as Al Gore did. Stop this, and let us move forward as a country."

Trump and his team have made unfounded claims of voter fraud happening in Philadelphia, which Kenney called "baseless claims." He added, "What we have seen here in Philadelphia is democracy — pure and simple."
