T.I. found himself at the center of controversy after seemingly responding to rapper King Von's death dismissively. "Atlanta is a beautiful progressive city filled with black excellence," Tip previously wrote on Instagram. "We uplift each other & win together. Stop coming here to kill each other. That shit is played out." The post included the controversial comment which read, "Handle YOUR beefs in YOUR city. Thx in advance."
Those remarks were met with a lot of pushback from fans and fellow artists alike; even King Von's sister went at T.I. over the perceived disrespect. He came out to say that the speculation that his post was about King Von was "grossly mistaken." T.I. followed up by saying that he'd never say or do anything that would bring harm or malice to people he's cool with.
