Police have issued a statement on the Dallas shooting that led to rapper Mo3 being fatally shot. Without mentioning Mo3's name, the authorities said the rapper was traveling northbound on I-35 when he was approached by an unknown suspect, or suspects, driving a dark-colored vehicle.

"The victim stopped his vehicle on the freeway at which time the suspect exited his vehicle and began approaching the victim," an officer told the press. "The victim then got out of his vehicle and began running southward on the interstate. The suspect, who was armed with a firearm, began firing several rounds at the victim, striking him."

Mo3 was later transported to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead. The cops also confirmed that an innocent bystander was shot, but his injuries were not life-threatening.

Whether Mo3 was targeted or the shooting was a road rage incident, police have not ruled out any motive for the murder. The authorities stated that they are unable to officially release names at this time, but hope to do so soon.
