In this VladTV exclusive, former heavyweight champion and boxing hall of famer Larry Holmes sat down and detailed his life and legendary career. Growing up in Pennsylvania as the fourth of 12 children, Holmes dropped out of school in the seventh grade to help support his family. However, he stayed involved in sports to keep himself out of trouble and decided to pursue boxing as a teenager. He would eventually become Muhammad Ali's sparring partner before eventually capturing the heavyweight title.
Holmes also spoke about his boxing match against a declining Ali and being brought to tears after beating on someone who he admired. Holmes went 48-0 before his first loss. He also explained why he came out of retirement to fight a prime Mike Tyson and reflected on his correct prediction that Tyson would face legal and personal trouble later on in life. The former champ described his bout against Evander Holyfield and explained why a match between him and George Foreman never happened.
The interview concluded with Larry Holmes revealing that he retired from boxing as a rich man and currently employs over 200 people in his hometown. He later spoke about visiting Muhammad Ali regularly during his final days.
