Kodak Black's release from prison had reportedly been pushed from August 14, 2022 to November 3, 2022. The rapper is currently serving his sentence after pleading guilty to attempted second-degree criminal possession of a weapon following an incident where he was arrested when trying to cross the U.S. border into Canada.

Last month, Kodak Black was transferred from Kentucky to Illinois after claiming guards at Big Sandy tortured him. Kodak alleged the guards beat him up upon his arrival and even held him down and flicked his testicles. He has since sued the Federal Bureau of Prisons, along with the director and the warden of Big Sandy in Kentucky.

Kodak Black has still managed to release music while incarcerated. Last week, he released his new project, Bill Israel, featuring Tory Lanez, JackBoy, Gucci Mane, CBE, and Lil Yachty.
