According to reports, Cleveland Cavaliers guard Kevin Porter Jr. was arrested on Sunday for possession of a firearm and marijuana and was just accused of punching a woman in the face earlier this year. Two women have come forward accusing Porter and his sister of assault stemming from a fight back in August.

Porter's attorney, Alex Spiro, told reporters “There is no truth to this allegation which is why the allegation has led nowhere.” Cavs spokesman Tad Carper followed up by noting that the organization addressed the allegations with Porter back in August.

The incident reportedly occurred on Aug. 16 and started when Porter's sister and a 26-year-old woman began "exchanging words." After things escalated and became physical, a 19-year-old woman who was involved in the altercation told police that Porter intervened and punched the woman in the face, knocking her into the refrigerator. He allegedly ripped out her weave, also. Another man who remains unidentified allegedly jumped into the melee and began assaulting the 19-year-old woman.

According to authorities, "the 19-year-old woman had light swelling on the left side of her face and that the 26-year-old woman had a broken nail and a lump on her forehead."

The surfacing of this news comes on the heels of Porter being arrested on Sunday by the Ohio State Highway Patrol after he crashed his car on Interstate 76 near Ohio 534 in Milton Township. The crash was chalked up to driver fatigue but troopers reported finding a loaded .45-caliber handgun and suspected marijuana inside the car. Porter was booked into the Mahoning County Jail and released on a $4,000 bond.
