Tory Lanez's attorney Shawn Holley appeared on his behalf on Wednesday (November 18) in L.A. County court to plead not guilty after he was charged for shooting Megan Thee Stallion earlier this year. Tory was officially charged with 1 count of assault with a semiautomatic firearm, and 1 count of carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle. He faces up to 22 years and 8 months in prison if convicted.
This comes after Megan claimed in a recently published GQ interview that Tory offered her and her friend hush money the night she was shot in the foot. Tory's attorney has denied the claims, and Tory himself has repeatedly claimed that he did not shoot Megan.
During Wednesday's hearing, the state deliberated on whether they would charge Tory for possibly violating a protective order to stay away from Megan with social media posts and song lyrics. The next hearing is scheduled for January 20.
