Megan Thee Stallion delivered her studio debut, Good News, on Friday and instantly addressed her shooting incident on the album's opener. Titled "Shots Fired," Megan took multiple shots at Tory Lanez and her former friend Kelsey Nicole without mentioning their names.
"Imagine n***** lyin' 'bout shootin' a real b**** (Huh?)/Just to save face for rapper n***** you chill with/Imagine me givin' a f*** it was your f****** birthday (F*** you)/You in your feelings, I just thought it was another Thursday," Megan rapped over a beat sampling the Notorious B.I.G.'s "Who Shot Ya."
The Texas native continued the first verse by bringing up previous claims that Tory offered her and her friend money in exchange for their silence.
"You offered M's not to talk, I guess that made my friend excited, hmm/Now y'all in cahoots, huh (Okay), you a puss in boots/You shot a 5'10" b**** with a .22/Talkin' 'bout bones and tendons like them bullets wasn't pellets/A p**** n**** with a p**** gun in his feelings/OK, he in the backseat and he keep callin' me a b**** (He a b****)/We all know the s*** I could've came back with (Lil'-a** n****)/He talkin' 'bout his followers, dollars, and goofy s***/I told him, 'You're not poppin', you just on the remix' (What's poppin'?)," Megan continued.
During the second verse, Megan directed her attention towards her ex-best friend Kelsey who was with her during the shooting incident.
"Who you takin' shots at, goofy-a** b****?/Watchin' me succeed from your knees, suckin' d***/I know you want attention from the n***** that I get/I'm a steak, you a side plate, shrimp, stay in your place," Megan rapped.
Tory Lanez pleaded not guilty to his charges stemming from the shooting incident during a hearing on Wednesday. The next hearing is scheduled for January 20.
