Poundside Pop continued talking about his upbringing by addressing his older brother's death. Pop said his brother was a victim of a robbery-homicide and called the tragic incident a reality check and wake-up call. In addition, one of his best friends, who was an aspiring rapper, was murdered over "envy and jealousy." Poundside Pop said he started taking rap seriously after his friend's death after revealing that he grew up around Ar-Ab and recorded his first songs at the incarcerated rapper's studio.
