Chicago-based R&B singer Ann Marie was arrested in connection to a shooting that took place at an Atlanta hotel on December 1st. Police identified the victim as a 24-year-old male, who was believed to be romantically involved with the singer.

According to the police report, officers arrived at the hotel and discovered the victim laying on the floor with a gunshot wound to the head. Cops said he was somewhat responsive and responded to questions. The alleged victim was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital where he was last listed in critical condition.

When questioned by officers, Ann Marie claimed "a gun fell off of a table in the hotel room which caused the gun to go off hitting the victim." The police report says the singer was very concerned with the victim's status and stated that she and the victim grew up together.

Ann Marie has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and possession of a firearm. She was previously arrested for simple battery, driving without a valid license, speeding, and failure to have a license in 2018. The singer is currently being held in Fulton County Jail.
