Lil Baby has seen much success in 2020, and now, the rapper has received the Artist of the Year award from Apple Music. Following the award, it was noted that Lil Baby was dropping a documentary about his life and career so far. The rapper took to Instagram to post a trailer for his film, and in the trailer, he noted that he didn’t want to be a rapper.

The trailer finds Lil Baby noting that he went to jail for the first time at the age of 13, and also talked about leaving school and what plans he had for him. Lil Baby said, “I dropped out of school somewhere between ninth and tenth grade. I never wanted to be a rapper."

Lil Baby then noted that it took him getting locked up another time for his life to transition into something more productive for himself. The rapper then talked about how his perspective change led to him becoming an artist with an actual message. Watch above.
