Jermaine Dupri is calling on the police to better protect the community after a 7-year-old was shot in Atlanta. Kennedy Maxie was struck in the back of the head while sitting in the car with her mother and aunt. Authorities believe an argument spiraled out of control, leading to the shooting and stray bullet hitting the young girl.

"Once again, we're addressing a situation of a senseless shooting that we believe arose from individuals unable to resolve a situation civilly," said interim Police Chief Rodney Bryant. A $15,000 reward has been offered for any information regarding the case. In response to the tragic shooting, Atlanta's own Jermaine Dupri spoke out against the ongoing violence and ruffled some feathers with his suggestion to remedy the issue.

"If you really from the A, it’s time for us to come together and stop all this shooting sh*t at Lenox and now Phipps," tweeted Dupri. "The police need to get tougher, the profiling needs to go to code red, and I can give a f*ck about y’all getting mad about me saying this, lil kids getting shot is wack."

The girl remains in critical condition.
