Reports surfaced noting that Horse racing jockey C.J. McMahon was arrested this past weekend for attempted murder. At first, details were not made available from officials in Lafayette, Louisiana, but now it has been revealed that the jockey—who won the 2016 Oklahoma Derby, was accused of a drive-by shooting. McMahon allegedly pulled up to an unknown man’s vehicle at a stoplight and began to open fire. From there, McMahon pulled off.

Cops noted they were able to figure out that McMahon was allegedly behind the shooting based on license plates, along with the jockey being pulled out of a photo lineup.

Since then, McMahon was arrested and booked for attempted murder after police reportedly pulled him over for a traffic violation this past weekend. The 26-year-old is currently facing one count of attempted 2nd-degree murder, according to the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office.
