In the midst of Donald Trump handing out pardons and commuting sentences during the waning days of his presidency, friends and supporters are hoping to get Kodak Black's sentence commuted. Baltimore Ravens QB and reigning NFL MVP Lamar Jackson was one of those imploring Trump to release Kodak.

"Hey @realDonaldTrump @potus my friend @KodakBlack1k deserves to be commuted," Jackson tweeted on Tuesday. "The system punished him way to hard for a paperwork crime #freekodak."

Kodak's attorney Bradford Cohen followed up Jackson's tweet by saying, "The great and I mean great @Lj_era8 future all of famer and good friend. Fairness is not limited to one case. 46 months in a max prison for checking the wrong box on a form? Thank you Lamar #freekodak"
