Death Row co-founder Michael "Harry O" Harris was included in the 143 people Donald Trump pardoned or commuted their sentence before leaving office this week. The first photo of Harry O surfaced online, showing him wearing a black face mask and a grey sweatshirt.
Famed producer DJ Battlecat also shared a photo of Harry O along with the caption, "HARRY - O SAID CAT THIS THAT BOUNCE BACK WITH GRATITUDE LOOK OF A FREE MAN 🙌🏿 SHARE THIS ONE ☝🏿. I SAID OK HARRY-O LOL WELCOME HOME 🏡 KING 👑 ALL 10 TOE’s DOWN TO THE GROUND JACK."
Snoop Dogg thanked Donald Trump for issuing the last minute-pardon during a call with criminal justice reform advocates Alice Marie Johnson and Weldon Angelos, both of whom Trump had previously pardoned. Snoop told them, "That’s great work for the president and his team on the way out. They did some great work while they was in there and they did some great work on their way out. Let them know that I love what they did."
Prior to Harry O's pardon, Alice Marie Johnson commented on his case, telling The Daily Beast, "The president knows how much this case means to me… In reviewing Michael Harris’ case, his story, and what he’s gone through, this is such an unfair case… He should have been home a decade ago. I really felt for this man. I am very hopeful that he will be home before the end of the Trump administration."
