Previously, actor Elliot Page came out as a transgender person, revealing that they changed their name from Ellen to Elliot as well. Now, only weeks after their announcement, it was revealed that Page is filing for divorce from their wife Emma Portner, of three years.
The court documents for the divorce were filed in Manhattan Supreme Court, and Page filed for a contested divorce. Since filing the paperwork for a divorce, all images of the couple on their social media platforms have been deleted. News of the divorce comes three years after they tied the knot in January 2018.

Previously, the actor formerly known as Ellen Page came out as transgender and noted they will be going by Elliot Page from now on. Page pointed out that they would use he/they pronouns. Since then, Page took to Instagram to share their first selfie since coming out. Along with a photo where Page sports glasses, he wrote, "From the bottom of my heart, thank you. Your love and support has been the greatest gift. Stay safe. Be there for each other. If you are able, support @transanta and @translifeline. See you in 2021. Xoxo Elliot." Take a look above.

According to reports, the actor formerly known as Ellen Page has come out as transgender and revealed they will now be going by Elliot Page.
Via social media, Page noted they’ll use he/they pronouns, and said “I feel lucky to be writing this. To be here. To have arrived at this place in my life. I feel overwhelming gratitude for the incredible people who have supported me along this journey. I can’t begin to express how remarkable it feels to finally love who I am enough to pursue my authentic self.”
Page, who is known for their role in the X-Men movies along with ‘The Umbrella Academy,’ noted they were scared to come out as trans due to possible “invasiveness, hate, jokes, and violence.”
