According to reports, a Georgia police chief named Gene Allmond has resigned after body camera footage surfaced showing him making racist remarks while at a Black Lives Matter protest in 2020.

Along with that, the officer Allmond was in conversation with—John Brooks was fired from Hamilton Police Department. In the footage, Allmond and Brooks were seen having a conversation where they used the n-word repeatedly and also discussed if they would have sex with Atlanta Mayor Keisha Bottoms as opposed to activist Stacey Abrams.

After the footage was reviewed by city officials, Allmond resigned this past Monday. Brooks was told to turn in all his police gear by Wednesday, which he didn’t do. Brooks’ inaction resulted in him being terminated.
