An alleged murder-for-hire plot became a double homicide after a Louisiana man hired two hitmen to kill his niece, who he's accused of raping. However, the alleged plot resulted in the death of two women including the accused rapist's sister.

Beaux Cormier was arrested and charged with third-degree rape of a family member before allegedly hiring 25-year-old Andrew Eskine and 22-year-old Dalvin Wilson to kill the woman. Authorities said the first attempt was unsuccessful, while a second attempt resulted in the shooting deaths of Beaux's sister, Brittany Cormier, and neighbor Hope Nettleton after they tried to protect the intended target.

Terrebonne Parish Sheriff Timothy Soginet claimed Brittany told one of the men she was the rape victim in an attempt to spare her niece. The niece has been confirmed to be alive.

Beaux, Eskine, and Wilson each face two counts of first-degree murder. Eskine and Wilson have already confessed to their involvement in the killings. The sheriff's office noted that Eskine was out of town during the crime but assisted in the overall planning of the crime.

Beaux's rape charge occurred in March 2020 and, as a registered sex offender, he faces "a substantial sentence" if convicted on the latest charges. All three men are in jail, with each being held on bonds of $2 million.
