According to reports, a Nashville man was shot and killed after a YouTube robbery “prank“ went left. Police noted that 20-year-old Timothy Wilks, along with a friend, approached a group of men with butcher knives, which was a part of their “prank.” One of the men in the group—23-year-old David Starnes Jr., noted that he was not aware of the prank and shot Wilks in self-defense.

Witnesses who spoke to detectives noted that the incident went down in the parking lot of the Urban Air Trampoline and Adventure Park. Police said when they arrived on the scene minutes after the shooting, Starnes admitted to the shooting.

The incident occurred around 9:20 pm in the Hermitage section of Nashville, and Metropolitan Nashville PD said that Starnes had not been charged for their part in the incident. However, the situation is still under investigation.
