While appearing on Fat Joe's IG Live stream, Lil Uzi Vert explained the rationale behind the $24 million pink diamond implanted in his forehead.
According to Uzi, he picked out the diamond for a ring but was afraid he'd misplace it. To mitigate the fear of misplacing a $24 million diamond, Uzi landed on implanting the pricey stone in his forehead to make sure he doesn't lose it.
“I’m Lil Uzi. I’m turnt up. So $24 million on a ring is the stupidest idea because I’m gonna look down and that ring ain’t gon’ be there,” said Uzi. “I know me. I wake up in odd places and different sceneries.”
He went on to explain just how he landed on choosing his forehead as the place for diamond. Lil Uzi spoke about having experience with microdermal piercings but said he was told not to implant the diamond in his head. “Don’t think it was just a ‘come on, let’s go get his money,’” said Uzi. “No, bro, they argued me down. It’s almost insane to the average person, or to any person.”
