Part 8: China Mac: Realistically, I'm Never Gonna Be a Drake or Jay-Z

--------

In the latest clip, China Mac continued to discuss his decision to stop rapping. He explained that artists being the last to get paid also contributed to his decision, while highlighting that independent artists may not get paid at all from their music. Despite taking his music off of streaming services, China Mac had a more optimistic outlook after a friend encouraged him to eliminate the middle man by selling his music directly. When discussing his inability to tour, he revealed that the COVID-19 pandemic hit shortly after he was finally off of parole.

Later in the clip, China Mac and DJ Vlad discussed Jin's success in China. He found humor in Jin referring to himself as the "Justin Bieber of Hong Kong" before discussing success and knowing when it's time to quit. Vlad used himself as an example by explaining his decision to transition out of producing and DJing to create VladTV.
