Bodycam footage released by authorities shows the intense arrest of Chad Wheeler following his violent bipolar episode that resulted in him assaulting his girlfriend and nearly killing her.
Footage shows officers kicking in the door of the residence Wheeler shared with his girlfriend, Alleah Taylor. The footage from inside the home was redacted for legal reasons but the audio clearly captures what transpires during the intense arrest.
"Put your f**king hands behind your back," an officer can be heard telling the 6'7, 315-pound lineman. "If you don't comply, you're going to get hurt."
Officers say Wheeler was resisting arrest despite the fact that the audio portrays him as being initially calm. At one point, Wheeler can be heard telling the cops, "Please don't shoot me." He then screams at his girlfriend, "Alleah, please … Alleah … please I love you … Please stop … I love you … Alleah."
"You're gonna get f**kin' tased if you don't knock this s**t off right f**king now, you understand me?" an officer says. "Please, I'm sorry, I'll do whatever you guys want" said Wheeler before an officer replied, "Then stop f**king fighting!"
