Manuel Ramirez was sentenced to 180 days in jail for hiding the body of slain rapper EBE Bandz, real name William Pickering.
At the end of May 2019, the rapper was listed as missing. On June 1, 2019, police went to Pickering's home to conduct a welfare check but could not locate him. Their investigation led them to a crime scene on June 20, and eventually, they were able to locate the Chicago rapper's remains shortly afterward at an undisclosed location.
Ramirez was one of three men arrested in connection with Pickering's death. On Wednesday, the 23-year-old suspect pleaded guilty to Concealment of a Homicidal Death. In addition to his 180-day sentence, Ramirez will serve one year of probation.
William Arzate, 23, has been charged with two counts of First Degree Murder, while 22-year-old Dakota Graff has been charged with First Degree Murder, Conspiracy to Commit First Degree Murder, Residential Burglary, and Concealment of a Homicidal Death.
