The Houston Rockets owner Tilman Fertitta announced that the team plans to retire James Harden's No. 13 jersey, despite how things ended between Harden and the Rockets organization.

Tilman Fertitta, Rockets team owner told the Houston Chronicle, "James Harden will always be a Rocket." He added, "Of course, we will retire his jersey. He made my first three years of owning this franchise unforgettable. The success he brought this franchise over eight years and the memories he created for our fanbase/community (are) truly remarkable."

The rocky divorce between Harden and Rockets can't overshadow the fact that Harden was one of the greatest players to ever put on a Houston uniform. Harden only trails Hakeem Olajuwon in franchise points and win shares. He currently holds the franchise record for assists.

When Harden's No. 13 jersey is finally retired, he will be one of only seven players in franchise history to be honored in such a way.
