YBN Almighty Jay offered more details as to why the YBN crew broke up. While YBN Nahmir was more subtle in his explanation during his VladTV interview, Almighty Jay claims a lawyer trademarked the YBN name behind the crew's back.
Almighty Jay didn't specify whether the lawyer was his own or the lawyer for the whole crew, but he accused a man named James McMillan of setting him up with the lawyer with whom he had a previous relationship.
"This n**** James McMillan is a fraud," Almighty Jay's Instagram post read. "He sign n***** to janky deals and f*** em over. Nobody knows NOTHING about the s*** we go through on the daily basis being signed to this n**** cause we cover for this n**** a**. I'm done with this s***."
The YBN member continued by offering more details on the strained relationship in his Instagram Story. There, Almighty Jay revealed that McMillan allegedly set him up with a lawyer he was formerly engaged to and that lawyer ended up trademarking the crew's name without their knowledge.
"Trademarking the YBN name behind n***** backs," he wrote. "Assigned me a lawyer he used to be engaged to without telling me smh. Took advantage of some kids bro. If y'all really wanna know why YBN broke up..."
When speaking with VladTV about YBN's breakup, YBN Nahmir explained that he's still on good terms with Almighty Jay and Cordae despite the group no longer being together.
