Russ announced last June that he was an independent artist again after a three-album stint with Columbia Records. On Wednesday, the rapper updated his Twitter followers on the eight-figure profit he's made since going the indy route once again.

His Twitter post featured two images -- one reflecting on his success and the other showing earnings of over $10 million. In the reflective post, Russ recalled making his first $1,000 off of his music and challenging himself to add more zeroes to each figure. After earning $10 million, the rapper expressed his desire to cross the $50 million threshold.

"Ever since s*** started 'working' for me with this music s*** I often think about 'damn, what if I woulda stopped after those 11 mixtapes?' Russ wrote on Twitter. "Can't lose if you don't quit. If it's your truth, keep goin regardless of wtf people are sayin."
