Atlanta was packed for All-Star weekend, and many hotels were full, leading some desperate to get in on the fun to stay in their cars, and in some cases, U-Hauls. One woman, known as "Yazz The Stallion" on social media, started a GoFundMe to raise money after being stranded in Atlanta after the festivities.
According to Black Sports Online, Yazz booked a one-way flight from Philly to Atlanta, and she was left stranded after not getting her unemployment check in time. Her $1,300 goal was met and exceeded by Monday (March 8), with $1,604 raised in total. The GoFundMe has since been closed.
