Autopsy Ordered for Woman Who Died 4 Days After 2nd Dose of COVID Vaccine

According to reports, a Utah woman died just four days after taking the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. 

Kassidi Kurill, 39, died days after her second dose of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine, sparking an investigation into the cause of death. By all accounts, Kurill was healthy and had no known preexisting health conditions. 

Kurill's death punctuates a tough last 370 days which has seen three other deaths in the family. The family agreed to an autopsy and had Kurill's body moved to the Utah State Medical Examiner in Taylorsville. 

Due to privacy laws, the State Examiner's office can't comment on Kurill's case specifically. However, Dr. Erik Christensen, Utah's Chief Medical Examiner, said there's little chance of proving vaccine injury as a cause of death as it almost never happens.
