Original 03/13/2021 11:41am:

Recently, Piers Morgan stormed off the set of ‘Good Morning Britain’ after getting confronted by a co-host for negative comments he made about Meghan Markle. Morgan questioned whether the comments made about Markle’s unborn child's skin tone were racist and noted he didn’t “believe a word” she said during her Oprah interview. Since then, Morgan quit ‘GMB.’ Now, Sharon Osbourne is reportedly under investigation by CBS after comments she made related to Morgan while on the ‘The Talk.’

The episode found Osbourne defending Piers Morgan’s comments about Markle. Osbourne reportedly asked co-host Sheryl Underwood to point out where Morgan made racist remarks, saying: “Educate me, tell me when you have heard him say racist things? I very much feel like I'm about to be put in the electric chair because I have a friend, who many people think is a racist, so that makes me a racist?"

When the show came back from a commercial break, Osbourne continued with her rant, saying, “How can I be racist about anybody or anything in my life.” Since then, Osbourne apologized for her comments and said she felt “panicked” and blindsided, and caused her to get “ defensive & allowed my fear and horror of being accused of being racist take over."

Because of this, CBS issued a statement noting an investigation is taking place. CBS said, “We are committed to a diverse, inclusive, and respectful workplace. All matters related to the Wednesday episode of 'The Talk' are currently under internal review.” Stay tuned for more updates.
