The rapper was reportedly facing heavy contenders in the category for the 2021 Grammy Awards, including Freddie Gibbs and Alchemist’s ‘Alfredo’, Jay Electronica’s ‘A Written Testimony,’ and more. In the past, Nas was nominated for a Grammy award 14 times. His win for ‘King’s Disease’ is the first Grammy win in his storied career.
