According to reports, a 28-year-old man named Aaron Barnes-Burpo was allegedly acting as if he was in the music industry, pretending to be a part of the legendary group Wu-Tang Clan, as well as a part of Roc Nation in order to scam people.

Now, the 28-year-old has been sentenced to prison for his crime. Reports noted that Burpo had a 52-year-old partner named Walker Washington, who he worked with in order to defraud many companies. The pair reportedly acted as if they were “affiliated with the Roc Nation production company and hip hop group Wu-Tang Clan.” Along with that, the pair used stolen credit cars to defraud catering companies, hotels, and production companies, renting limousines in the process. They reportedly made off with thousands of dollars.

Since then, both men have pled guilty. Barnes-Burpo was sentenced to seven years in prison has been ordered to pay back $300,000 to 19 businesses who were defrauded by the pair. Washington is still awaiting sentencing.
