A single-engine plane crash left three dead and one adult injured when it crashed into a car shortly after taking off Monday afternoon.

The aircraft took off about 20 miles north of downtown Miami before it crashed into a residential neighborhood. Home surveillance footage showed the plane fall from the sky and into a moving SUV before bursting into flames.

The two people aboard the plane died in the crash. Meanwhile, a female and her four-year-old son were in the vehicle that was struck in the crash. While Megan Bishop was released from the hospital, her son Taylor did not survive the crash and was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The fire chief believes the Beechcraft Bonanza plane may have experienced mechanical issues after taking off. The plane had just taken off from North Perry Airport and was returning just before 3 PM when the crash occurred.

The Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the crash.
