Russian President Vladimir Putin responded to Joe Biden recently labeling him as a "killer" during a recent interview with ABC News host George Stephanopoulos. During the sit-down, which was released on Wednesday, Stephanopoulos asked the president if he thought Putin was a killer, to which Biden responded, "Uh-huh. I do."
Putin responded on Thursday, stating that the phrase "it takes one to know one" is more than a childish retort, adding, "It has deep psychological meaning." He also stated that "We always see ourselves. We are always projecting what is of importance for us, what is our essence, on other people."
Putin pointed to the U.S. atomic bombing of Japan during World War II, its history of slavery and the killing of Native Americans as evidence of its ill intent. You can hear more above.
